Clinical Application Specialist

The Clinical Applications Specialist (CAS) serves as a key clinical and technical resource supporting both customers and internal sales teams. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical training, providing ongoing technical support, and ensuring successful adoption and utilization of intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) technologies. The CAS combines deep clinical expertise with strong communication skills to drive customer success and support business growth across the Eastern U.S. region.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead onboarding and training for new customer accounts, including surgeons, clinical staff and hospital personnel
• Provide ongoing clinical and technical support for IONM systems and applications across all major case types
• Partner closely with sales representatives to deliver clinical expertise during product evaluations, trials, and customer meetings
• Serve as a subject matter expert in IONM modalities, including SSEP, MEP, EMG, EEG and related technologies
• Support case coverage as needed to ensure optimal clinical outcomes and customer satisfaction
• Assist in developing and refining clinical protocols, training materials and best practices
• Troubleshoot technical and clinical issues in real time, both remotely and on-site
• Maintain strong relationships with physicians, neurophysologists and hospital stakeholders
• Stay current with advancements in IONM technologies, clinical guidelines and industry trends

Qualifications:

• CNIM certification or equivalent credential - Required
• Experience supporting capital equipment and/or medical device sales teams
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a clinical or neurophysiology-related field preffered
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in intraoperative neuromonitoring or related clinical field - Required
• Comprehensive knowledge of IONM case types, modalities, and clinical applications - Required
• Strong understanding of neurophysiology principles and surgical workflows
• Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50–75%) throughout the Eastern United States
